Lamb Shanks

A great cut of meat, so versatile with so many recipes.

INGREDIENTS

  • Lamb Shanks
  • Favourite lamb rub
  • 1 cup of hot chicken stock
  • 1 tbl honey
  • 1 tbl butter
  • Few sprigs of rosemary

DIRECTIONS

  1. Remove any excess fat and blue skin from lamb shanks.
  2. Apply your favourite rub
  3. Set BBQ Smoker to 120c
  4. Smoke the lamb shanks until internal temp of 75c then place in a tray
  5. Add 1 cup hot chicken stock , 1 tbl honey , 1 tbl butter and a few sprigs of rosemary.
  6. Wrap tray up tight and cook to an internal of 96c
  7. At this point the meat will be falling off the bone
  8. Serve with mash potatoes, peas and gravy and enjoy.
