Rich and Tender Osso Bucco

Hey everyone want an easy dish that will go down a treat for rainy winter days.?

Need some comfort food? Well here’s an easy Osso Buco recipe.
Ingredients serves 6.
1.5 kg beef shanks
3 carrots (peeled and chopped)
2 stalks celery (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (crushed)
800g crushed tin tomatoes
1 large onion (chopped)
800g crushed tin tomatoes
1. 5 cups of beef broth
3 tbs of parsley chopped
1/2 cup red wine
1 tbs thyme
2 tbs lemon juice
  • I applied Carnivore Candystore Classic allrounder rub to the beef shanks and put them in the smoker for 2 hours to get some smoke flavour through them. 225f/107c
  • (if you are doing recipe in an oven, you could flour the beef shanks and seal in a pan, before you put in tray with other ingredients)
  • After the 2 hours place beef shanks in a tray with all the above ingredients wrap tray and cook for a further 6 hrs at 225f/107c until meat is tender fall apart.
  • Serve with a mash or polenta and enjoy some comfort food goodness 😊
